Always Consider Our Impact

Everything we do has an impact on ourselves, other people or the wider environment. Every effort is made to consider how what we do and the way in which we do it impacts on those around us and ways in which we can strive to ensure that impact is positive.

We Are Always Learning

While we possess extensive experience across many different areas it is always important to remember that we and those around us are always learning. Being respectful of that and working towards better systems of learning is an important aspect of our work.

Take a Human Centric Approach

While we are all aware of the value of difference and diversity, it is important to remember that the way we act and the way we conduct ourselves, both as a business and as individuals, impacts on those around us. We make all efforts to keep others at the centre of our work to continue working towards fairness and equity for all.

Capacity & Capability Building

We refuse to see our work as merely transactional, but rather as an opportunity to build capacity and capability in our clients, stakeholders and the wider community. We continuously look for ways in which we can pass our knowledge and ideas onto others and helping individuals and organisations reach their potential.

Reaching Out & Being Accessible

While we are based in Melbourne, Victoria, our work takes us all over Australia. However, it is not always possible or affordable for us to travel out to clients or the community. To that end we endeavour to look for ways in which we can be accessible to those in remote and regional Australia.

Look for Opportunities to Contribute

To provide an additional means for us to contribute to our Mission and Vision we are always on the lookout for ways in which we can work with people and organisations in ways different to usual consulting engagements. This tends to be through pro-bono, voluntary or discounted arrangements.

Social Responsibility Policy

As part of our mission we undertake pro bono activities for organisations that work to make the world a better place. We recognise that some organisations, particularly those that are predominantly volunteer run, do not have the resources to engage consultants. As such, we dedicate a percentage of our time each year to pro bono work and training to build the capacity and capability of these organisations and their staff.

Environmental Policy

First Person Consulting is committed to maintaining a sustainable organisation through engaging all staff to participate in action learning and development. We have a comprehensive action plan for water saving, responsible use of natural resources and smarter waste management. We are measuring the differences we're already making and continually monitor our progress to help us keep improving. We are an environmental and socially conscious business and aim to continue to contribute to the development of a more sustainable world for both humans and the environment.
