Professional Background

Maddy has a background in public health and community development. Her approach to evaluation is guided by principles of social justice and viewing health and social issues through a systemic lens. Since joining FPC in 2020, she has worked on projects spanning primary prevention, mental health, emergency management and gender equity.

Maddy has experience working with a range of stakeholders across different sectors including culturally diverse communities, government agencies and non-profit organisations. She is committed to working purposefully and collaboratively with clients to ensure outputs are useful and align with the needs and priorities of the communities they support.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining First Person Consulting, Maddy was employed as a Project Coordinator with the Australian Multicultural Foundation where she coordinated community-based projects. This included co-designing several initiatives with diverse community groups, government departments and community organisations.

She has also undertaken research roles with UnitingCare Hotham Mission, providing her with experience across different sectors and a deep understanding of community-centred approaches to complex social and health issues.

When registering for FPC workshops, training programs, or events:

Registration: Registration is confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cancellation by Participant:

  • More than 14 days before the event: Full refund (an administration fee may apply)
  • 7–14 days before the event: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days before the event: No refund, but you may transfer your registration to another person

Cancellation by FPC: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule workshops due to insufficient enrolments, facilitator illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, you will be offered a full refund or transfer to an alternative date.

Substitutions: You may substitute another participant from your organisation at any time by notifying us in writing.

Photography and Recording: We may photograph or record workshops for promotional purposes. Please advise us if you do not wish to be included.

6. Consulting Services

Consulting engagements are governed by separate agreements and proposals provided to clients. These Terms of Use apply to general website use and do not override specific contractual arrangements.
